Me Katherine Champagne is a notary and coordinator of the Antoine-Turmel Research Chair on the legal protection of seniors. She holds a Master of Laws with essay. Her essay, entitled “L’avènement des directives médicales anticipées : le testament biologique et le mandat de protection sont-ils toujours utiles?” (The advent of advance medical directives: Are living wills and protection mandates still useful?), was published in the Revue du notariat. Ms. Champagne is a lecturer at the Université Laval Faculty of Law. She teaches Elder Law at the certificate level, and Capacity and Protection at the Master’s level in notarial law.
